Playing with Jamie and Shannon this month so here goes.
Ten Things:
1. I live in Maine, but I'm not crazy about winter.
2. I have five grandchildren and celebrate each of their personalities!
3. Creativity has always been a part of my life in some form - in the past, scrapbooking, mixed media, quilting, restoring old furniture, and in the present it's writing and photography.
4. I'm an avid journaler and have been for forty years.
5. Huge "Lord of the Rings" fan. Love movies.
6. Books, books, books! I actually have two trunks full and several bookshelves. I will never read all the books I want to read in this lifetime.
7. I begin each morning in prayer and reading Scriptures. Love Beth Moore Bible studies!
8. I have struggled with health issues for years.
9. Love lights all over my house, little lights on strings.
10. Treasure my friendships.
What a great list. I love little twinkle lights in my house too. They are so cosy to look at, very inviting.
ReplyDeleteI love that you celebrate each of your grandkids personalities. Your an awesome grandma, I know.
You are gonna pass on some interesting reading one of these days with all that journaling! that is fantastic!
~Dawn
I'm a long-time journaler as well. It is a practice that has helped me get through some difficult times. I don't feel like my day gets off on the right foot if I don't write in the morning.
ReplyDeleteLong time journaler and big LOTR fan, I went dressed up to the movies. I am a big book lover too. Nice to meet you.
ReplyDeleteLOVE learning more about you Paula! We have many similiarities. THANKS for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWe have many things in common. I love getting to know everyone a bit more each day.
ReplyDeleteTwinkle lights and loads of books - real treasures aren't they?
ReplyDeleteLove your list!!! ;)
ReplyDeleteI love twinkle lights! Journalling is someing that I wish I could have gotten into when I was younger...I am still trying because I think it is sooo important. For history and for the soul.
ReplyDeleteGreat to learn more about you. We have several things in common. I love to read and create. I have started to begin my morning with reading scripture and writing my prayers and gratitudes. I have been struggling with arthritis for a few years.
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful smile! #6 is me, too. All the way. My fantasy as a child was to be stuck in a library overnight, with the lights on, of course. There aren't enough lifetimes for all the books I want to read. And I adore twinkling lights, too. I sure hope that your experience with health issues changes for the much, much better. That's something I share with you, as well. It'd be wonderful to know the feeling of feeling truly well, light and carefree. P.S. Thanks for stopping by my blog and for the heads up on the difficulties with the word verification. Sadly, if I don't have the word verification, I get spam to sift through. Ugh! If it ain't one thing, it's another, huh? :-)
