  1. Paula, it's so nice to see and hear you! I thoroughly enjoyed your video, and I now have a few new authors to check out. My daughter Bridget recently read and enjoyed the entire "Cinder" series. She hasn't read "All the Light You Cannot See," but tells me I should read "The Book Thief," which is also set in WWII. I'm not sure I can do it (or "All the Light" yet). I'm still recovering from Tatiana de Rosnay's "Sarah's Key" and the movie, "A Beautiful Life." In the meantime, I continue to swim in books that take place on or near the sea. I finished "The Open Boat" by Stephen Crane last night and plan on finally diving into "Moby Dick" today.

  2. Checking your blog out after clicking through the August Break Challenge page. I had to comment, because I loved The Nightingale and All the Light We Cannot See. I'll have to check out some of the other books on your list. I have a feeling we may have the same taste in books. :) And I'm always looking for another awesome book to read! :)
